Ad\u0131n\u0131 rejim ve cumhurun kendisinden alan Cumhuriyet Halk Partisi, Cumhuriyet ile ya\u015f\u0131t bir siyasi partidir. Devletinin bizatihi haf\u0131zas\u0131 konumunda olan parti, T\u00fcrkiye\u2019nin modernle\u015fme s\u00fcrecinde \u00f6nemli bir misyona sahip olmu\u015ftur. Reformlar\u0131n yap\u0131lmas\u0131nda toplumsal ve siyasal manada d\u00f6n\u00fc\u015f\u00fcm\u00fcn ger\u00e7ekle\u015ftirilmesinde partinin devlet yerine ge\u00e7ti\u011fi bir d\u00f6nemde CHP, 1930\u2019dan ba\u015flayarak partinin devleti yutmaya ba\u015flamas\u0131 s\u00fcrecine tan\u0131k oldu. Yak\u0131n d\u00f6nem tarih\u00e7ileri ve siyaset bilimcilerin tek partili d\u00f6nem olarak da ifade etti\u011fi 1930-1945 y\u0131llar\u0131 aras\u0131nda CHP iktidar\u0131, parti-devlet b\u00fct\u00fcnle\u015fmesinin \u00f6rneklerinden birini temsil etmektedir. CHP, ola\u011fan ve ola\u011fan\u00fcst\u00fc kurultaylar i\u00e7erisinde tek adam\u0131n d\u0131\u015f\u0131nda parti ile devlet aras\u0131ndaki ili\u015fkileri d\u00fczenleyen ikinci makam konumundaki CHP Genel Sekreterli\u011fi\u2019nin de tarihini kapsamaklad\u0131r. CHP Genel Sekreterli\u011fi makam\u0131 kendisini bakanl\u0131klar \u00fcst\u00fc g\u00f6ren bir yap\u0131y\u0131 olu\u015fturmaktad\u0131r.
