De Profundis (Lat. \u201cderinlerden\u201d), Oscar Wilde\u2019\u0131n Reading Hapishanesi\u2019ndeki tutuklulu\u011funun sonlar\u0131na do\u011fru, Ocak-Mart 1897\u2019de, sevgilisi \u201cBosie\u201d Lord Alfred Douglas\u2019a yazd\u0131\u011f\u0131 onlarca sayfal\u0131k bir mektup. Hapishane m\u00fcd\u00fcr\u00fc Nelson, yazman\u0131n Wilde\u2019a iyi gelece\u011fini d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcnerek bu mektubu yazmas\u0131na izin verir. Muhatab\u0131na g\u00f6nderilmeyen mektup, Wilde\u2019\u0131n serbest kald\u0131\u011f\u0131 18 May\u0131s 1897\u2019de m\u00fcd\u00fcr Nelson taraf\u0131ndan kendisine geri verilir. D\u00fcnya edebiyat tarihinin en bilinen mektuplar\u0131ndan biri olan De Profundis\u2019in ilk yar\u0131s\u0131, Wilde\u2019\u0131n \u201cahlaks\u0131zl\u0131k\u201d nedeniyle hapse girmesine sebep olan Lord Alfred Douglas\u2019la ili\u015fkilerine ve abart\u0131l\u0131 ya\u015fam bi\u00e7imlerine ili\u015fkindir ve ileti\u015fimleri kopmu\u015f iki sevgiliden birinin di\u011ferine \u201csitem\u201dleriyle doludur.
