T\u00fcrkiye’nin \u00f6zellikle son birka\u00e7 y\u00fczy\u0131ll\u0131k d\u00f6nemi, Bat\u0131l\u0131la\u015fma hareketleri kapsam\u0131nda, daha \u00f6nce benzeri g\u00f6r\u00fclmemi\u015f bir h\u0131zda art\u0131\u015f g\u00f6stermi\u015f bir d\u00f6neme kar\u015f\u0131l\u0131k gelmektedir. Osmanl\u0131 Devleti’nin y\u0131k\u0131l\u0131\u015f d\u00f6neminde reform anlay\u0131\u015f\u0131yla ba\u015flayan s\u00fcre\u00e7, Cumhuriyet d\u00f6nemiyle ink\u0131lap d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcncesine evrilerek devam etmi\u015f olan Bat\u0131l\u0131la\u015fma arzusu, bug\u00fcn g\u00fcncelli\u011fini korumaya devam etmektedir. Ancak hen\u00fcz kesin bir ba\u015far\u0131 sa\u011fland\u0131\u011f\u0131 s\u00f6ylenemez. Bu \u00e7al\u0131\u015fma Osmanl\u0131’dan Cumhuriyet’e uzanan s\u00fcre\u00e7te T\u00fcrk sosyal bilimler alan\u0131nda \u00f6zg\u00fcn duru\u015flara sahip Abdullah Cevdet’in, Ziya G\u00f6kalp’in ve Erol G\u00fcng\u00f6r’\u00fcn Bat\u0131l\u0131la\u015fma sorunsal\u0131 kapsam\u0131ndaki fikirlerini ele alm\u0131\u015ft\u0131r. \u00c7al\u0131\u015fman\u0131n amac\u0131, bug\u00fcne kadar tart\u0131\u015f\u0131lma kabiliyetini koruyan Bat\u0131l\u0131la\u015fma anlay\u0131\u015f\u0131n\u0131n, \u00fc\u00e7 d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcn\u00fcr \u00e7er\u00e7evesinde incelenerek Bat\u0131l\u0131la\u015fma sorunsal\u0131na \u00e7\u00f6z\u00fcm bulunup bulunamayaca\u011f\u0131n\u0131 sorgulamakt\u0131r.
