Bu y\u00fczden medya ve yeni medyaya y\u00f6nelik \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmalara duyulan ihtiya\u00e7 g\u00fcnbeg\u00fcn artmaktad\u0131r. \u00d6zellikle yeni medyan\u0131n toplumsal ili\u015fkileri d\u00f6n\u00fc\u015ft\u00fcrme noktas\u0131nda olduk\u00e7a belirleyici olmas\u0131, bireyleri tedirgin etmektedir. Buna ba\u011fl\u0131 olarak bu \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmada medya ve sosyal medyay\u0131 kad\u0131n oda\u011f\u0131nda de\u011ferlendirilmeye \u00e7al\u0131\u015f\u0131lm\u0131\u015ft\u0131r. Farkl\u0131 \u00fcniversitelerden 16 akademisyenin \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmalar\u0131n\u0131n sonucu olarak ortaya \u00e7\u0131kan bu eserde, \u015fiddet ve t\u00fcrevleri, mahremiyet olgusu, t\u00fcketim k\u00fclt\u00fcr\u00fc, toplumsal cinsiyet, giri\u015fimcilik, sa\u011fl\u0131k ve hukuk olmak \u00fczere bir\u00e7ok konuya yer verilmi\u015ftir. \u00c7al\u0131\u015fman\u0131n amac\u0131; kad\u0131n, medya ve sosyal medya konusunda uzman \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmac\u0131lar\u0131 bir araya getirerek mevcut durumun analizi ve tespitinin yap\u0131larak temel problemlere dair bulgular\u0131 ve \u00e7\u0131kar\u0131mlar\u0131 literat\u00fcre kazand\u0131rmakt\u0131r.
