Bu yeni dengenin ancak uzla\u015fmayla ve mutlaka g\u00f6r\u00fc\u015fmeler yoluyla olmas\u0131 gerekir.Osmanl\u0131 Devleti d\u00f6neminde bu adalar\u0131n tamam\u0131 T\u00fcrklerdeydi. Ama 1821 isyan\u0131 sonras\u0131nda 1827 y\u0131l\u0131nda Yunanistan ortaya \u00e7\u0131k\u0131nca Yunan ana karas\u0131na yak\u0131n adalar Yunanistan’a verilerek Ege’de bir denge sa\u011fland\u0131. Ama daha sonra Yunanistan Balkan harbinde Ege adalar\u0131n\u0131n \u00e7ok b\u00fcy\u00fck bir k\u0131sm\u0131n\u0131n sahibi oldu. Bu da T\u00fcrklerin ve T\u00fcrkiye’nin aleyhine \u00e7ok haks\u0131z bir durum yaratt\u0131. Maalesef Lozan Antla\u015fmas\u0131 da bu durumu de\u011fi\u015ftirmedi. Ancak adalar\u0131n silahs\u0131zland\u0131r\u0131lmas\u0131 gibi kontrol\u00fc ve sa\u011flanmas\u0131 zor bir kuralla denge sa\u011flamaya \u00e7al\u0131\u015f\u0131ld\u0131.Bug\u00fcn o denge Ege ve Akdeniz’de yok.
