Cumhuriyet\u2019in \u00f6nde gelen kurumlar\u0131ndan Dil ve Tarih-Co\u011frafya Fak\u00fcltesi (DTCF) T\u00fcrkiye\u2019de modernle\u015fme projesinin gerektirdi\u011fi bilim ve toplum anlay\u0131\u015f\u0131 do\u011frultusunda g\u00f6rev \u00fcstlenmi\u015f ve bu d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcncenin ya\u015fama ge\u00e7mesinde etkili olmu\u015ftur. Ulusla\u015fma yolunda ge\u00e7mi\u015f ile bug\u00fcn aras\u0131nda k\u00f6pr\u00fclerin kurulabilmesi, bu do\u011frultuda Anadolu uygarl\u0131klar\u0131n\u0131n yan\u0131 s\u0131ra Anadolu d\u0131\u015f\u0131ndaki T\u00fcrklerle ilgili t\u00fcm uygarl\u0131klar\u0131n bilimsel olarak incelenmesi amac\u0131yla 14 Haziran 1935\u2019te kurulan DTCF, \u00f6z\u00fcnde Cumhuriyet\u2019in modernle\u015fme projesinin bir aya\u011f\u0131d\u0131r.
