Osmanl\u0131 son d\u00f6nemlerinde e\u011fitimde bat\u0131l\u0131la\u015fman\u0131n en \u00f6nemli g\u00f6stergelerinden birisi r\u00fc\u015fdiye mektepleridir. R\u00fc\u015fdiye mektebi (orta dereceli okul) d\u00fczeyinde ilk a\u00e7\u0131lan kurumlar, 1839 tarihli Mekteb-i Ma\u00e2rif-i Adliyye ve Mekteb-i Ul\u00fbm-\u0131 Edebiyye&#8217;dir.
