Ekonomik kalk\u0131nman\u0131n a\u00e7\u0131klanmas\u0131nda ise insan kavram\u0131 \u00f6n plana \u00e7\u0131kmaktad\u0131r. Bu ba\u011flamda insano\u011flunun normlar, ili\u015fkiler, a\u011flar ve ba\u011flant\u0131lar s\u00fcrecini yans\u0131tan sosyal sermaye kavram\u0131 i\u00e7inde bulundu\u011fumuz zaman diliminde \u00f6nem ihtiva etmektedir. Sosyal sermaye, insanlar aras\u0131 g\u00fcveni, birlik ve b\u00fct\u00fcnl\u00fck duygusunu, uyum i\u00e7inde ya\u015fayabilme potansiyelini kapsamaktad\u0131r. Toplumsal oldu\u011fu kadar ekonomik bir kavram olan sosyal sermaye; b\u00fcrokrasi, yolsuzluk, i\u015fg\u00fcc\u00fc piyasas\u0131, bilgi, iktisadi krizler, yoksulluk, su\u00e7, yat\u0131r\u0131m ve demokrasi gibi konularda sa\u011flam\u0131\u015f oldu\u011fu yarar ile ekonomik kalk\u0131nman\u0131n ger\u00e7ekle\u015fmesinde kilit rol \u00fcstlenmektedir.
